elli ioannou photography

Motion and emotion characterize much of Elli Ioannou’s imagery. Elli sources her main inspiration from cinematography and literature. Born in Nicosia, Cyprus, at the age of 7 Elli migrated to Australia with her family in 1975.

Specializing in contemporary fashion and lifestyle photography, Elli’s eye for detail and unique use of light give her imagery its distinct style. Elli has worked extensively in Europe, followed by 3 years in Sydney before relocating back to Melbourne
Alongside her commercial and art work, Elli’s commitment to giving back to the photography community extends to her being both a mentor and an educator for final year photography students.
Over the last 5 years Elli has participated in forums and work shops at Charles Sturt University (NSW) and has been part of the Mentor Program for RMIT University and Photography Studies College (Melbourne)

Elli ‘s direction has been steadily moving towards her visual art and to date has
held 6 solo exhibitions. Including shows at Sydney’s Otto Ristorante , Spence&Lyda ,
and participated in significant group shows at the National Gallery of Victoria, Gallery 101 Collins and George Gallery (Melbourne)
By incorporating multi media in recent exhibitions , Elli has been able to add another dimension to the work she now offers her clients.
