Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. Since we want you to feel comfortable using our site, please familiarize yourself with the following policy.

We understand the sensitivity of your information and want to provide a secure environment for you; we'll make every effort to insure that the information you submit remains private.

Your use of photographerID means that you agree to the terms of our policy as it is outlined below. Your use will be subject to the version that's in place when you use the site. If you do not agree to the following terms, please do not use this site.

We reserve the right to make additions to this policy at our discretion.

Capturing Personal Information
The following discloses the information gathering practices of photographerID and our treatment of personally identifiable information that's collected or submitted when you're on our site and using our services.

It does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to people that we do not employ.

Any personal information we capture will only be used to better tailor our services to our members' needs and will not be shared with advertisers.

In the event that photographerID goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, liquidation or sale of all or a portion of its assets, our members' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Members will be notified of any such business transition via email and/or prominent notice on this site.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to applicable law, comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on photographerID or the site, protect and defend the rights or property of photographerID, or investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Use.

In general, we gather information about all of our members collectively, such as what areas members visit most frequently and what services are accessed most. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. While we reserve the right to provide aggregate data to third parties for statistical analysis, the data will not be linked to any particular individuals.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. In addition, the nature of our site requires that members give us access to their work and contact information and other personally identifiable information.

While using this site is completely optional, once you register and sign-in, you are not anonymous to us. We automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page you requested.

In general, we will use this information for three general purposes: to customize content; to fulfill your requests for services; and to contact you about any site changes.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, photographerID will not share your information with anyone unless we have asked for and received your consent to do so. However, the information you provide will also be used by the individuals and companies that use our site to find photographers and may also be used by us to contact you. In addition, we do at times employ other companies to perform functions on our behalf, including the processing of credit card payments and analyzing site data. These companies will have access to whatever personal information is necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any third party.

If you elect to open an account, photographerID will ask that you provide personal information, such as your first and last name, position, company, mailing address, phone and fax numbers and e-mail address (member can choose to make this information "private"), website, company focus, associated ID groups, associated links and other personal identifying information. When opening an account, you will also be asked to provide a credit card number.

We will also collect a list of people who are referred to us by our members. This list will only be used by us to determine who should be members of photographerID. Should these people join photographerID as members, their names will be removed from the list or marked as a member for a specific period of time and then removed from the list.
